RavenWindow automatically blocks solar heat when the outside temperature is too hot
Denver-based RavenBrick (http://www.ravenbrick.com) RavenWindowTM smart windows adds to a green building's energy conservation strategy.
RavenWindowTM automatically adapts to outside temperatures to reduce the need for air conditioning and heat. On hot days RavenWindowTM reflects the sun's light and heat away from the building, keeping indoor temperatures cooler. When outdoor temperatures drop RavenWindowTM becomes transparent, letting free solar heat inside. RavenWindow's flexible thermochromic technology creates substantial energy savings in all four seasons.
They can cut building owners’ energy costs and consumption by as much as 30 percent, meanwhile making interior spaces more comfortable by reducing overheating, drafting and glare.
