Pizza stores need to come up with better solutions to keep pizza boxes free of grease. Did you know that we must not recycle food, grease stained pizza boxes?
Imagine the number of pizzas ordered all over the globe everyday and then most of the boxes end up filling our landfills?!!
However, there are some cities and counties which are accepting pizza boxes in the recycle bin.
City of Fort Worth and its residential recycling hauler and handler, Waste Management, are "asking residents to scrape cheese and tomato sauce off of their pizza boxes, which helps avert clogging of machinery at paper mills." Read more here

The easiest remedy for this problem is to cut or tear out the soiled
portions of your pizza boxes and trash them. For example, you can tear
the top of the box off, recycle that and throw away the bottom part
containing the grease.
If the entire box is grease-free, the whole box
can be recycled with a guilt-free conscience.
